Plot:

In this intimate, introspective drama, Yusuke Kafuku, a renowned stage actor and director, continues his struggle to come to terms with the tragic loss of his wife two years prior. Given the opportunity to direct Chekhov's "Uncle Vanya" at a prestigious theater festival in Hiroshima, Kafuku sees it as both a distraction from his grief and an opportunity for redemption through art. As he navigates the festival's bustling atmosphere and immerses himself in the world of the play, he meets Misaki, a quiet, young woman tasked with driving him around town.Their initially professional relationship takes a turn as they share intimate moments in the car, revealing hidden truths from their past and exposing vulnerabilities through heartfelt confessions. As Kafuku's personal life becomes entangled with Misaki's, he begins to confront his own grief, questioning whether his coping mechanisms have been genuine or merely a means of escaping his pain. The film delves into themes of loss, self-discovery, and the redemptive power of human connection in the face of tragedy.
