Don’t Raise the Bridge, Lower the River

George Lester is a man who spends his life chasing rainbows, constantly seeking for the elusive pot of gold at the end. In his pursuit, George neglects his wife, Pamela, who eventually decides to leave him behind after being dragged around the world by his schemes. Desperate for cash, George transforms her family home into a discotheque without her approval, which angers Pamela even further and threatens to send him to jail.In an attempt to earn some fast money, George turns to an old friend, William Homer or "Willy", who is currently short of funds. However, when George comes down with the mumps, he's unable to meet Willy as planned. Unwilling to hand over the valuable plans for a new drill that Pamela's suitor, Dudley Heath, is developing unless he receives immediate payment, George's daring plan begins to unravel before it even starts. With buyers demanding to see the merchandise first and time running out, George finds himself entangled in a web of deception and betrayal that could either lead him to fortune or ruin him forever.
