In the autumn of 1963, amidst the backdrop of a brewing storm in Vietnam, we find ourselves following the story of 18-year-old Eddie Birdlace. Enthusiastically volunteering for the Marine Corps, he's about to embark on a journey that will take him and three friends far away from their current home in San Francisco. As they prepare for deployment, they decide to celebrate their last night together with a bash. However, this isn't your average farewell party.
