Plot:

In the vibrant but troubled city of Naples during 1959, the life of Renato Caccioppoli, a gifted mathematician and grandson of famed revolutionary Bakunin, begins to unravel. Struggling with a recent release from a psychiatric hospital, abandonment by his wife, and deepening disillusionment in both academia and the political beliefs he once held dear, Renato faces the end of his days in an atmosphere of painful detachment. As the story unfolds, viewers are drawn into a poignant exploration of one man's tumultuous journey through personal tragedy and intellectual turmoil against the backdrop of post-war Italy.
