In the aftermath of September 11, Los Angeles is rattled by simmering tensions that erupt over the course of a tumultuous 36 hours. At its center are a Brentwood housewife and her district attorney husband, whose seemingly perfect life takes an unexpected turn as they navigate the city's uneasy atmosphere. Their intersecting paths with a Persian shopkeeper, two cops, a pair of carjackers, and a Korean couple reveal the diverse perspectives of individuals living in a world altered by fear and mistrust. Amidst the chaos, the characters are forced to confront their own prejudices and assumptions about one another, ultimately exposing both the vulnerabilities and resilience that lie within them all.
