In a quirky comedy of errors, we follow Carter, a 21-year-old who's still living at home with his mom, as he faces an ultimatum: secure a paid promotion at work by day's end or find a new place to live. To earn that promotion, his boss assigns him an impractically long list of tasks, each more chaotic than the last. From getting his Jeep detailed (it gets towed instead) to babysitting a rebellious teenager (who goes missing), Carter's day turns into a surreal test of wits and resilience.As if that wasn't enough, he must also set up a birthday party for his boss' son which ends in a drug overdose by a visiting model, and then recover a sex tape (that leads to a failed blackmail attempt with the kidnapping of his boss' best friend - a world-famous rapper). Through it all, Carter navigates these increasingly absurd obstacles while grappling with adulthood and independence. If he can survive this day from hell, maybe he'll finally be ready for the real world.
