"Children Underground" delves into the lives of five young street children residing in an underground subway station in Bucharest, Romania. Ranging from eight to sixteen years old, these kids navigate each day amidst hunger, petty theft, and survival tactics while scavenging for a precious commodity - paint. As they struggle to cope with their harsh reality and search desperately for the means of their next high, they become unwitting subjects of fleeting glances from commuters who pass through the station daily. The film sheds light on these forgotten children living in a world beneath the bustling city streets, capturing both the brutal desperation of their existence and the indomitable spirit of youth.
