Chaco

Set in 1934 during the Bolivia-Paraguay War, this gripping film follows the harrowing journey of indigenous Bolivian soldiers Liborio and Ticona as they trudge through the desolate Chaco region under the stern command of German Captain Kundt. With their enemy seemingly elusive for months on end, these weary troops wander further into an inescapable abyss of isolation and despair, each step revealing more about the fate that has befallen them and the unavoidable reality of defeat.
