Brian and Charles

Brian, an eccentric inventor in a Welsh valley, leads a solitary life creating peculiar contraptions that mostly fail to function as intended. His latest project emerges from a discarded mannequin head he finds abandoned. Over the course of three days and with the aid of a washing machine and spare parts, Brian brings Charles to life - an artificially intelligent robot who learns English from a dictionary and exudes an endearing charm and cheekiness. As the bond between the two grows stronger, it is revealed that Charles has not only gained intelligence but also autonomy.
