Description:

In County Durham, England, during the tumultuous period of the 1984 miners' strike, a class war is raging between the police and the working-class citizens. Amidst this backdrop of social unrest stands young Billy Elliot, an 11-year-old boy caught in the crossfire. Leaving his boxing club by chance, he discovers a ballet class and surprisingly finds his natural talent for dance.
