Helen Mirren takes on the powerful role of narrating Anne Frank's story through her diary entries in this captivating film. As we commemorate what would have been Anne's 90th birthday, her tale becomes interwoven with that of five other Holocaust survivors - teenage girls who shared similar hopes and aspirations. These brave individuals include Arianna Szörenyi, Sarah Lichtsztejn-Montard, Helga Weiss, and sisters Andra and Tatiana Bucci. Their moving testimonies are juxtaposed with those of their children and grandchildren, shedding light on the legacy and resilience of these young women who endured unimaginable adversity during one of history's darkest times.
