A Ton of Luck

The film is based on an extraordinary true story that took place in Colombia in May 2003. It revolves around four soldiers - Porras, Venegas, Lloreda, and Perlaza - members of the anti-guerrilla "Destroyer" battalion, who found themselves entangled in a surreal situation after discovering 46 million dollars hidden in a remote jungle location. Instead of handing over the money to the government as they were duty-bound to do, the soldiers succumbed to temptation and decided to keep it for themselves.However, their newfound wealth came at a price; the bridge that connected them to civilization had been blown up, leaving them completely isolated. Despite having no food, water, or toilet paper, the soldiers found themselves sleeping on bags filled with money - an ironic twist of fate. Their lives were forever changed by this discovery as they were granted things they'd only ever dreamt about: some experienced newfound authority and respect, others managed to help their struggling families and improve their financial standing.Their challenge now was not just surviving in the harsh jungle environment but also finding a way back to civilization to make their dreams come true without getting caught.
