Born on November 10, 1971, in Nashville, Tennessee, Walton Sanders Goggins Jr. is a highly acclaimed American actor with an impressive career spanning various television series and films. Goggins's acting journey began with his starring role in the critically-acclaimed drama series, The Shield (2002-2008), where he played the complex character, Shane Vendarrow.

His talent didn't go unnoticed, and he continued to impress audiences and critics alike with his outstanding performances. In 2010, he starred in Justified, a crime drama series based on Elmore Leonard's stories, where Goggins played Boyd Crowder – a role that earned him a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. The actor's exceptional acting skills were further showcased when he joined the cast of the dark comedy series Vice Principals (2016-2017) and HBO's critically acclaimed satirical black comedy, The Righteous Gemstones (2019-25).
