Vincent Philip D'Onofrio was born on June 30th, 1959 in Bethpage, New York, and has since made a significant impact in the world of film and television. Known for his diverse range of supporting and leading roles, this American actor and filmmaker has garnered numerous accolades throughout his illustrious career, including a Primetime Emmy Award nomination.

D'Onofrio first caught the public eye with his unforgettable portrayal of Private Leonard "Gomer Pyle" Lawrence in Stanley Kubrick's iconic 1987 film, Full Metal Jacket. His career continued to flourish with roles such as Robert E. Howard in The Whole Wide World (1996), Edgar the Bug in Men in Black (1997) and its accompanying animated series, Men in Black: The Series (1997–2001).

In 2000, D'Onofrio showcased his versatility by taking on the complex character of Carl Stargher in The Cell.
