Richard Treat Williams, affectionately known as Dick Williams, was born on December 1, 1951, in Alexandria, Virginia. With a diverse and illustrious career spanning across acting, writing, and aviation, Williams captivated audiences for decades before his untimely passing on June 12, 2023, at the age of 71.
The multi-talented actor was no stranger to accolades; he received nominations for prestigious awards like the Screen Actors Guild Award, Golden Globe, Primetime Emmy, Satellite Award, and Independent Spirit Award. Williams' impressive filmography boasted over 75 films and several television series, in addition to numerous stage roles that showcased his versatility as an actor.
Sadly, on June 12, 2023, tragedy struck when Williams was involved in a motorcycle accident on Vermont Route 30, near Dorset. According to the Vermont State Police report, a southbound vehicle turned into the path of Williams' northbound motorcycle, causing an unavoidable collision. Despite being immediately airlifted to Albany Medical Center, Williams succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
