Biography:
Born in England, Tim McInnerny made his mark in the world of television through his memorable roles in popular British comedies. Most notably, he portrayed the character Percy in Blackadder and its sequel Blackadder II. He later took on the role of Captain Darling in another installment, Blackadder Goes Forth, but opted not to return as Percy for the series' fourth iteration, Blackadder the Third, to avoid being typecast.
Despite this decision, McInnerny remained a familiar face throughout various seasons and specials of Blackadder, earning him a unique distinction among the show's cast. He appeared in all four original series as well as the one-off special Blackadder: Back & Forth, making him one of only three actors to achieve this feat alongside Rowan Atkinson and Tony Robinson.
