Biography:
Born and raised in Mumbai, India, Tamannaah Bhatia, popularly known as Tamannaah, began her acting career at just 15 years old. In 2005, she made her Bollywood debut in the film Chand Sa Roshan Chehra and also appeared in Abhijeet Sawant's album song "Lafzon main."
The same year, Tamannaah ventured into Telugu cinema with her debut film Sri. In 2006, she starred in her first Tamil movie, Kedi. Her acting skills continued to shine as she took on roles in college-based drama films, Happy Days (Telugu) and Kalloori (Tamil), both released in 2007.
Over the years, Tamannaah has become a household name in Telugu and Tamil cinema, featuring in blockbuster films such as Ayan (2009), Paiyaa (2010), Sura (2010), Siruthai (2011), 100% Love (2011), Racha (2012), Thadaka (2013), Baahubali: The Beginning (2015), Bengal Tiger (2015), and Oopiri (2016). Alongside these Telugu and Tamil movies, Tamannaah has also appeared in several Hindi films.
Throughout her illustrious career, Tamannaah has shared the screen with some of India's most prominent actors, including Ajith Kumar, Vijay, Surya, Karthi, Dhanush, Jayam Ravi, Arya, Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Nagarjuna, Allu Arjun, Ramcharan, Jr. NTR, Ravi Teja, Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and Ranveer Singh. She has also been recognized as one of the highest-paid actresses in South Indian cinema.
In addition to her acting success, Tamannaah has earned prestigious accolades for her work onscreen. In 2010, she received the Kalaimamani Award from the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, and made history as the first Indian actress to be nominated at the Saturn Awards for Best Supporting Actress - although she didn't win that time, she certainly left her mark in Hollywood.
