Biography:
Born in Vancouver, Canada, Seth Rogen's journey to stardom began as a stand-up comedian. Fate brought him to Los Angeles in 1999 for a role on Judd Apatow's TV series, Freaks and Geeks, which led to another gig on Apatow's sitcom, Undeclared, in 2001. He even took up writing duties for these shows before moving on to help write the scripts for Da Ali G Show.
Rogen's first taste of film fame came with a minor role in Donnie Darko (2001) and a supporting part in Apatow's directorial debut, The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005), which he also co-produced. With the help of Apatow, Rogen found his calling as a leading man in comedies like Knocked Up (2007) and Funny People (2009).
As a writer, Seth Rogen partnered with Evan Goldberg to bring hilarious scripts for Superbad (2007), Pineapple Express (2008), The Green Hornet (2011), and This Is the End (2013) - both co-writing and directing the latter two. His talent didn't stop there, as he took on lead roles in various comedies like Zack and Miri Make a Porno (2008), Neighbors (2014), The Disaster Artist (2017), Long Shot (2019), and dramatic roles in 50/50 (2011), Take This Waltz (2011), Steve Jobs (2015), and The Fabelmans (2022).
In addition to his acting career, Rogen co-developed the AMC television series Preacher (2016–2019), serving as writer, executive producer, and director.
