Biography:
Born and raised in New York City, Ronald Perlman has etched an impressive legacy in Hollywood as a versatile actor and voice-over artist. His extensive portfolio boasts notable roles that have earned him international recognition. Among these are his portrayal of Clay Morrow, the tough president of a biker gang in Sons of Anarchy (2008-2013), and his transformative turn as Hellboy, the red-skinned superhero with a tortured past in Hellboy (2004) and its sequel, Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008).
Perlman's talent extends beyond the big screen. In 1987, he starred as Vincent, the sensitive beast transformed into a man, in Beauty and the Beast, a role that won him a prestigious Golden Globe Award. He also played Salvatore in The Name of the Rose (1986), Johner in Alien Resurrection (1997), Nino in Drive (2011), and recently featured as Benedict Drask in Adam McKay's satirical comedy-drama, Don't Look Up (2021).
Collaborating with acclaimed filmmaker Guillermo del Toro has been a recurring theme throughout Perlman's career. He lent his distinctive voice and presence to the director's films Cronos (1993), Blade II (2002), Pacific Rim (2013), and Nightmare Alley (2021).
