Biography:

Richard Madden was born in June 1986 in a small Scottish town and discovered his love for acting at an early age. He landed his first role at just 11 years old and made his debut on-screen in the year 2000. His passion for performance grew while he was studying at the prestigious Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where he also began to explore the world of stage acting.

In 2007, Madden got the opportunity to tour with Shakespeare's Globe company as Romeo in the timeless classic Romeo and Juliet. He would revisit this iconic role on the West End stage in 2016. It was during this time that Richard began to make a name for himself in television, starring as Robb Stark in the immensely popular fantasy drama series Game of Thrones from 2011 to 2013.

Madden's career continued to flourish, and he went on to play Prince Kit in the romantic fantasy film Cinderella in 2015. The following year, his portrayal of Italian banker Cosimo de' Medici in the historical fiction series Medici showcased his versatility as an actor.

His performance as a police officer in the thrilling series Bodyguard in 2018 earned him widespread recognition and a Golden Globe Award. The following year, Time magazine named Richard one of the world's 100 most influential people, a testament to his growing impact on popular culture.

Madden has continued to take on diverse roles since then, including portraying John Reid in the biopic Rocketman and Lieutenant Blake in the war film 1917. He joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as superhero Ikaris in the 2021 film Eternals. And currently, he stars as a spy in the action thriller series Citadel, set to premiere in 2023.
