Biography:

Reese Witherspoon was born on March 22, 1976, in New Orleans, Louisiana. A talented and ambitious actress since her teenage years, she made her screen debut at the tender age of 14 with "The Man in the Moon" (1991). However, it was her breakthrough role as Cecile Caldwell in the sultry drama "Cruel Intentions" (1999) that truly introduced her to a broader audience.

Her portrayal of Tracy Flick in the black comedy "Election" (1999) and her iconic role as Elle Woods in the hit comedies "Legally Blonde" (2001) and its sequel (2003) further solidified her status as a leading lady. She also shone in the romantic comedy "Sweet Home Alabama" (2002), where she played Melanie Carmichael, a woman torn between her past and present.

However, Witherspoon's acting career took an interesting turn with her Academy Award-winning performance as June Carter Cash in the musical biopic "Walk the Line" (2005). Following this success, she starred in the romantic drama "Water for Elephants" (2011), which, despite mixed reviews, was a commercial hit.

After a brief hiatus, Witherspoon made a stunning comeback with her production company, Hello Sunshine. She produced and starred as Cheryl Strayed in the critically acclaimed drama "Wild" (2014), earning herself a second Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.

Since then, Witherspoon has focused primarily on television work, with notable roles in the HBO drama series "Big Little Lies" (2017–2019), the Apple TV+ drama series "The Morning Show" (2019–present), and the Hulu miniseries "Little Fires Everywhere" (2020). She won a Primetime Emmy Award for her work on the first of these projects.

In addition to her acting accomplishments, Witherspoon is also a successful producer. She has produced film adaptations such as "Gone Girl" (2014) and "Where the Crawdads Sing" (2022), as well as the miniseries adaptation "Daisy Jones & The Six" (2023).

She is also the founder of Reese's Book Club and Draper James, a clothing company. Witherspoon is deeply committed to children's and women's advocacy organizations, serving on the board of the Children's Defense Fund and as Global Ambassador for Avon Products in 2007. She continues to be an influential figure in Hollywood and beyond.
