Biography:
Rachel Anne McAdams, born on November 17, 1978, in London, Ontario, Canada, is a talented actress with an impressive career. After completing her theatre degree at York University in 2001, she began working in Canadian television and film productions. Her breakthrough role came with the drama film Perfect Pie (2002), which earned her a Genie Award nomination. She also starred in the comedy films My Name Is Tanino (2002) and Slings & Arrows (2003–2005), winning a Gemini Award for her performance in the latter.
In 2002, Rachel made her Hollywood film debut with the comedy The Hot Chick. She quickly gained popularity with her roles in the 2004 comedies Mean Girls and The Notebook, which solidified her status as a rising star. Her impressive performances led to a BAFTA Award nomination for Best Rising Star.
Following a brief hiatus, Rachel returned with a bang, starring in several successful films such as The Time Traveller's Wife (2009), Sherlock Holmes (2009), Morning Glory (2010), Midnight in Paris (2011), The Vow (2012), About Time (2013), and Spotlight (2015).
