Biography:

Paul Thomas Wasilewski, who goes by Paul Wesley professionally, is a talented American actor, writer, director, and producer. Born to a family with Polish roots, he grew up bilingual, speaking both English and Polish fluently. In fact, he spent four months in Poland every year until the age of 16, which greatly influenced his upbringing.

Wesley's television career began on NBC's now-defunct soap opera, Another World, where he portrayed the character Sean McKinnon. He then caught the eye of CBS, who cast him as Luke Cates in their series Wolf Lake in 2001. Using his early experience, Paul went on to appear in numerous television shows such as 24, 8 Simple Rules, American Dreams, Army Wives, Cane, Everwood, Guiding Light, Smallville, and The O.C..

However, it was his role as Stefan Salvatore in the supernatural drama series The Vampire Diaries that catapulted him to international fame. This success allowed him to secure a role as James T. Kirk in Paramount+'s original series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, further solidifying his place in television history.

Throughout his career, Wesley has also ventured into the world of film, making appearances in various projects such as the 2008 CBS television film The Russell Girl and starring in the 2007 ABC Family miniseries Fallen and its sequels.
