Biography:

Nam Joo Hyuk is a talented South Korean actor who initially pursued his dreams on the basketball court. Hailing from Gyeongnam, he attended middle school with hopes of becoming a professional player and played on the school's team for three years. Unfortunately, an injury and subsequent surgery marked the end of his basketball career. However, Nam's determination led him to the world of modeling.

In 2013, the aspiring actor walked the runway for SONGZIO Homme Spring/Summer collection, which was just the beginning of his journey in the entertainment industry. He soon caught the attention of YG Entertainment and appeared in music videos by Akdong Musician, another artist under the same label.

Nam Joo Hyuk's acting debut came with the television drama "Surplus Princess" in 2014. Since then, he has played leading roles in several successful series such as "Who Are You: School 2015", "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo", and "The Bride of Habaek".

In addition to his acting career, Nam has made a name for himself in the fashion industry. Penshoppe signed him on as their new model and brand ambassador in 2017, followed by an announcement from Dior Men in Asia, naming him as their brand ambassador in 2019.

Expanding his horizons further, Nam starred in the historical film "The Great Battle" (2018), which marked his big screen debut and earned him critical acclaim for his performance. As a result, he received the prestigious "Best New Actor" award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards.

Nam Joo Hyuk's acting credits include "The Light in Your Eyes" (2019), "The School Nurse Files" (2020), "Start-Up" (2020), and most recently, "Twenty Five Twenty One" (2022). With each role, Nam continues to showcase his versatility and dedication to his craft.
