By the age of eleven, Milla had already begun modeling and appeared in Revlon's "Most Unforgettable Women in the World" advertisements under the guidance of renowned photographer Richard Avedon. Her career continued with campaigns for L'Oreal cosmetics, Banana Republic, Christian Dior, Donna Karan, and Versace.

Making her professional acting debut in 1988 through the television film 'The Night Train to Kathmandu,' she followed it up with her first feature film, 'Two Moon Junction' that same year. In 2003, Milla, along with model Carmen Hawk, started the clothing line Jovovich-Hawk, which unfortunately ceased operations in 2008. However, during its run, their designs could be found in high-profile stores like Fred Segal in Los Angeles and Harvey Nichols across the globe.
