His journey began with his breakout role as Tony Villicana in the popular TV series "The Greatest American Hero." However, it was his memorable portrayal of Eddie Wilson in the iconic 1983 film "Eddie and the Cruisers" that truly captured the hearts of audiences. This role was later reprised in the sequel, "Eddie and the Cruisers II: Eddie Lives!" (1989).
