Biography:

Born in Sedgefield, England on October 17th, 1966, Mark Gatiss has made a name for himself as an English actor, comedian, screenwriter, director, producer, and novelist. Best known for his television work, Gatiss has collaborated extensively with fellow creator Steven Moffat throughout his career.

A multi-award winner, Gatiss' accolades include a BAFTA TV Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, a Peabody Award, and two Laurence Olivier Awards for his stage performances. His journey in the world of television began with the BBC comedy series "The League of Gentlemen" (1999-2002), which he co-created, co-wrote, and acted in.

Gatiss' impressive list of TV roles includes playing Mycroft Holmes in the critically acclaimed BBC series "Sherlock" (2010-2017) and Frank Renfield in the BBC/Netflix miniseries "Dracula" (2020).
