Biography:

Marie Avgeropoulos, born on June 17th, 1986, is a Canadian actress and model whose Greek roots run deep. With a natural talent for performance that was evident from an early age, Marie's big break came in 2009 when she landed the role of Valli Wooley in the film I Love You, Beth Cooper, directed by none other than Chris Columbus. This marked the beginning of her journey into the world of acting and modeling.

After studying broadcast journalism for two years in her hometown, Marie decided to embark on a new adventure by moving to Europe. However, she soon found herself drawn back to Canada, where she settled in Vancouver. It was there that Marie discovered her passion for playing drums when she was just 16 years old. One day, one of her friends invited her to attend a casting call in Vancouver, seeking drummers. Little did Marie know at the time, but this would be the turning point in her career.

A talented agent recognized her potential and offered her opportunities to appear in various national commercials. This led to Avgeropoulos catching the eye of director Chris Columbus, who cast her in I Love You, Beth Cooper. The film not only marked Marie's first feature film role but also set her on a path that would lead to numerous other film and television roles.

In 2010, Avgeropoulos continued to build her resume by taking on the role of Kim Rhodes in the action-packed film Hunt to Kill. This breakthrough role further solidified Marie's position as an up-and-coming actress in the industry.

Eager to continue expanding her acting career, Marie landed a recurring role on The CW's cult television series, Cult, in early 2013. Although the show ultimately failed to attract a significant audience and was canceled after episode 7, it was not the end of the road for Marie.

Shortly after the show ended, The CW saw something special in Avgeropoulos and decided to cast her as one of the main characters in their new sci-fi series, The 100. Here, she took on the iconic role of Octavia Blake, a character that would come to define Marie's career and leave an indelible mark on fans across the globe.
