Margo Martindale was born on July 18, 1951, in Jacksonville, Texas. With a lumber company-owning father and a passion for drama, Margo was destined for great things in the world of entertainment. Her family was no stranger to the limelight either; her brother Billy Martindale made a name for himself as a professional golfer and golf course designer.

Margo's talents extended beyond acting, with her high school days filled with cheerleading, golf, and drama. She even held the titles of "Football Sweetheart" and "Miss Jacksonville High School 1969." After graduation, Margo attended Lon Morris College before transferring to the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Her journey continued with summer study at Harvard University where she shared the stage with future Hollywood stars Jonathan Frakes and Christopher Reeve.

Margo's career took off in 2011 when she won an Emmy Award for her role as Mags Bennett on Justified. She has also appeared in a myriad of films, including The Hours, Million Dollar Baby, The Firm, Lorenzo's Oil, Marvin's Room, The Savages, and Paris, je t'aime.
