Biography:
Lucas Jade Zumann, born into a Jewish family, had his first taste of the spotlight when he was discovered at a Disney talent search in Chicago. Growing up, Lucas attended Waters Elementary School before moving to the prestigious Chicago Waldorf School for a few years.
The young actor got his start on stage, appearing as an ensemble member in a production of "Oliver!" at his hometown's Music Theater Works. It wasn't long before he caught the attention of the industry, landing small roles such as playing a punk in the popular Netflix series Sense8.
Lucas' career took a major leap when he was cast as Milo in the horror film Sinister 2. This was followed by his notable role as Jamie Fields alongside Hollywood heavyweights Elle Fanning, Billy Crudup, Greta Gerwig, and Annette Bening in the Academy Award-nominated film 20th Century Women.
In 2017, Lucas' international fame soared when he landed the iconic role of Gilbert Blythe in the Canadian television series Anne with an E, which was broadcast on CBC and Netflix. The following year saw him starring as Nathan Daldry/A in the teen romantic comedy Every Day, proving his versatility as an actor.
