Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on October 14, 1963, Lori Petty is an accomplished American actress who has also dabbled in directing and screenwriting. She first caught the eye of moviegoers with her performance in the 1990 comedy film Cadillac Man, but it was her subsequent roles that truly established her as a versatile talent.

In the early '90s, Petty starred alongside Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze in Point Break, and took part in the beloved sports classic A League of Their Own alongside Geena Davis and Tom Hanks. She also appeared in Free Willy and The Glass Shield, showcasing her range as an actress. However, it was her portrayal of the titular character in Tank Girl (1995) that solidified her status as a cult icon.

After making waves in the world of film, Petty decided to try her hand at television, creating and starring in the Fox sitcom Lush Life in 1996. The show, unfortunately, had a short run but provided Petty with an opportunity to further develop her acting skills.
