Biography:

South African-born actress Lesley-Ann Brandt moved to Auckland, New Zealand with her family at the age of sixteen, where she would soon embark on a journey that would take her from IT recruitment and modeling to the silver screen. After catching the eyes of casting directors through her work in national and international campaigns, they encouraged her to pursue acting, so while still holding down a full-time job, Brandt trained with New Zealand and internationally based coaches.

Her big break came when she was cast as the lead in the hit comedy series 'Diplomatic Immunity,' starring alongside esteemed actors like Craig Parker from 'Spartacus', 'Lord of the Rings', and 'Underworld: Rise of the Lycans'. Following this success, Brandt appeared in guest roles on New Zealand's popular series 'Shortland Street' and 'This Is Not My Life', eventually landing her most well-known role to date as the fierce warrior 'Naevia' in the Starz series 'Spartacus: Blood and Sand'.

In addition to her screen work, Brandt has also appeared in her first feature film, 'Hopes and Dreams', and she continues to expand her portfolio while remaining fluent in Afrikaans. A talented athlete, she has played competitive and social hockey throughout her life.
