Biography:

Born on June 10, 1983 in New York City, Liliane Rudabet Gloria Elsveta "Leelee" Sobieski embarked upon an extraordinary acting journey at a young age. Her talent was quickly recognized and by her teenage years, she had already made a name for herself with roles in some of the most memorable films of the late 90s and early 2000s.

One of her first significant roles came in 1998 when she starred alongside Robert Duvall and Téa Leoni in the disaster film Deep Impact. The following year, she appeared in Never Been Kissed alongside Drew Barrymore and Eyes Wide Shut alongside Hollywood icon Tom Cruise and director Stanley Kubrick. Her work continued to gain recognition, and in 2000 she starred opposite Chris Klein in the drama Here on Earth.

In 2001, Sobieski took on two more roles that added depth to her burgeoning career: one as a victim of kidnapping in Joy Ride, and the other as a character navigating the perils of boarding school life in The Glass House. It was during this period that she received critical acclaim for her portrayal of Joan of Arc in the made-for-TV film Joan of Arc, which earned her Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominations.

Her impressive portfolio continued to grow as Sobieski took on more television roles. In 2001, she starred in the NBC miniseries Uprising, a performance that garnered her another Golden Globe nomination. After a fruitful career in both film and TV, Sobieski decided to retire from acting in 2012.

Since then, Leelee has turned her attention towards her children and pursuing an art career. Though she no longer graces the screen, her contributions to the world of cinema remain etched in our memories.
