Lauren Lapkus, born Dorthea Lauren Allegra Lapkus on September 6, 1985, is an American actress and comedian known for bringing life to a diverse array of characters on both the small and big screen. With a career that began in comedy, she quickly made her mark with memorable roles in popular television series, films, and even as a voice actor in animated shows.
Her breakthrough role came when she was cast as Susan Fischer in the Netflix hit comedy-drama series Orange Is the New Black, where she appeared from 2013 to 2014, and then again in 2019. Lapkus's talent for comedy continued to shine through her portrayal of Jess in the HBO comedy-drama series Crashing, which aired from 2017 to 2019.
