Josh Holloway

Josh Holloway, born on July 20th, 1969, in San Jose, California, is a versatile American actor best known for his iconic roles as James "Sawyer" Ford in the popular TV series Lost and Will Bowman in the science fiction drama Colony. More recently, he has appeared in season 3 of the hit western show Yellowstone.

Holloway was raised as one of four brothers in Free Home, Georgia, after his family relocated from California when he was just two years old. He comes from a distinguished lineage - related to Baptist preacher Dr. Dale Holloway and World War II prisoner of war Carl Holloway, with ancestry tracing back to Robert E. Lee.

Hollywood was in his blood from early on; captivated by films at a young age, he attended Cherokee High School in Canton, Georgia, where he graduated in 1987. However, due to financial constraints, he could only spend one quarter at the University of Georgia before leaving to pursue other dreams.

Josh's journey into showbiz began with a successful modeling career, working for big brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein, and Donna Karan. His first foray into acting was in a 1993 music video for Aerosmith's "Cryin'", where he played an unsuccessful purse snatcher caught by the singer Alicia Silverstone.

In 1999, Holloway landed his first on-screen acting role as "Good Looking Guy" in an episode of Angel, followed by several other minor roles. His big break came when cast as the lead character in Sabretooth, a Sci-Fi Channel movie alongside David Keith and John Rhys-Davies. This led him to star in various TV episodes such as NCIS, The Lyon's Den, Walker, Texas Ranger, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

However, it was his role as Sawyer in Lost that catapulted Holloway into global stardom. Despite the overwhelming success of the series, it left him with limited time to explore other acting opportunities. Nevertheless, Josh Holloway's illustrious career continues to evolve, captivating audiences worldwide with each new role.
