Born in Yonkers, New York, Jonathan Vincent "Jon" Voight embarked on an illustrious acting career that has spanned over five decades. With an Academy Award under his belt and three Golden Globe Awards to boast, it's safe to say that this talented actor has made a significant mark in the world of cinema.
Voight first captured the attention of audiences in 1969 with his raw and captivating performance as a would-be gigolo in "Midnight Cowboy." As the '70s rolled in, Voight quickly established himself as a Hollywood heavyweight, starring in critically acclaimed films such as "Deliverance" (1972), where he played a businessman entangled in murder, "Coming Home" (1978), for which he won his Academy Award for portraying a paraplegic Vietnam veteran, and the heart-wrenching drama "The Champ" (1979), where he tackled the role of a penniless ex-boxing champion.
