John David Washington was born on July 28, 1984, into a family of performers. His father, Denzel Washington, is an Oscar-winning actor, and his mother, Pauletta Washington, is a seasoned actress. Intrigued by the world of acting from an early age, John decided to follow in his parents' footsteps after a career as an American football running back.
