John Marwood Cleese was born in Weston-super-Mare, England, and went on to become one of Britain's most revered actors, comedians, writers, and film producers. His journey began at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where he quickly gained recognition for his unique brand of humor. He continued to make waves as a scriptwriter and performer on The Frost Report.
In the late 1960s, Cleese joined forces with fellow comedians to form Monty Python, the comedy troupe that would forever change British comedy.
