Biography:

Born on March 17, 1992, in London as John Adedayo Bamidele Adegboyega, British actor and producer John Boyega catapulted onto the global stage with his breakout role in the comedy-horror film "Attack the Block" (2011). Playing a teenage gang leader, he garnered recognition both nationally and internationally.

John's career reached new heights when he was cast as Finn in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" (2015), earning him the prestigious BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2016 and the coveted Trophée Chopard at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.

The momentum continued to build for John in 2020, as he won a Golden Globe Award for his portrayal of Leroy Logan in "Red, White and Blue," part of Steve McQueen's anthology series, "Small Axe."
