Biography:
James Todd Spader, an American actor known for his ability to embody eccentric and morally ambiguous characters, began his journey in the world of entertainment with a series of youth-oriented films. These early projects included Tuff Turf (1985), Pretty in Pink (1986), and Mannequin (1987). However, it was his role in Steven Soderbergh's drama, Sex, Lies, and Videotape (1989) that truly catapulted him into the limelight. This powerful performance earned Spader the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actor.
Following his breakthrough, Spader continued to impress audiences with a variety of roles in films such as White Palace (1990), True Colors (1991), Stargate (1994), 2 Days in the Valley (1996), and Secretary (2002). Throughout his career, he has also taken on supporting roles in projects like Bob Roberts (1992), Wolf (1994), Lincoln (2012), and The Homesman (2014). In 2015, Spader brought life to the character of Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
