John Allen McDorman IV, known to fans and fellow actors simply as Jake McDorman, was born on July 8th, 1986 in Dallas, Texas, USA. Rising to fame for his captivating performances in film and television, McDorman has made a name for himself with an impressive array of roles in both dramatic and comedic projects alike.
His breakout role came in the form of the critically acclaimed 2014 film American Sniper, directed by Clint Eastwood, where he played Jack Cates. This led to further opportunities on the small screen, most notably starring as Brian Finch in CBS' thrilling series Limitless from 2015 to 2016.
In addition to his work on Limitless, McDorman has graced the screens of various other popular shows. He played Casey Klein in the ABC Family comedy-drama Greek from 2007 to 2011 and portrayed Frank Gallagher's love interest Fiona's girlfriend, Veronica Fisher, in the fourth season of Showtime's darkly humorous drama Shameless in 2014.
His acting skills have also taken him to the world of legendary TV characters. McDorman starred as astronaut Alan Shepard in Disney+'s historical drama The Right Stuff and played the iconic role of journalist Mike Downey in the revival of CBS sitcom Murphy Brown in 2018.
