Biography:
Gal Gadot was born on April 30, 1985, in Rosh HaAyin, Israel. Her journey to international stardom began when she won the Miss Israel 2004 title, which led to a two-year stint as a combat trainer in the Israel Defense Forces. During this period, Gal participated in a Maxim photo shoot that increased her visibility significantly.
Following her military service, Gadot pursued modeling and endorsement deals, eventually making her acting debut on Israeli television in 2008 with the drama series Bubot. Her first film role came in 2009 when she played Gisele Yashar in Fast & Furious, a character she reprised in several sequels.
In 2016, Gal Gadot was cast as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the subsequent success of this role led to her starring in the standalone film, Wonder Woman (2017), which became a box office phenomenon. She reprised her iconic superheroine character in Justice League (2017) and Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), which she also co-produced.
Gal continued to build an impressive portfolio of film credits, starring in Netflix's action thriller Red Notice alongside Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds (2021). She also appeared in the adaptation of Agatha Christie's classic mystery novel Death on the Nile (2022). In 2023, Gal co-produced and starred in the action thriller Heart of Stone, further demonstrating her versatility as an actor. Lastly, she portrayed the Evil Queen in Disney's live-action adaptation of Snow White in 2025, solidifying her status as a beloved and accomplished actress in both Hollywood and the world at large. In recognition of her achievements, Gal Gadot became the first Israeli to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2025.
