Biography:
Ethan Green Hawke is an accomplished American actor, writer, and director who has graced the big screen since his debut in 1985. Born and raised in Texas, Hawke's love for acting began early when he made his feature film debut with the science fiction movie Explorers at just 14 years old.
However, it was his breakthrough role in Dead Poets Society (1989) that truly launched his career. This was followed by a string of successful films throughout the 90s such as White Fang (1991), A Midnight Clear (1992), and Alive (1993). He then took on a memorable role in the Generation X drama Reality Bites (1994), earning critical acclaim for his performance.
One of Hawke's most iconic roles came in 1995 when he starred alongside Julie Delpy in the romantic drama Before Sunrise, which was followed by its sequel Before Sunset (2004). This beautiful series showcased Hawke's ability to portray genuine, intimate moments on screen.
In 2001, Hawke was cast as a rookie police officer in Training Day, earning him a Screen Actors Guild and Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
