Biography:
Elliot Page, a versatile Canadian actor and producer born on February 21, 1987, rose to fame at a young age with his remarkable talent and dedication. His career kicked off with an outstanding performance in the television series Pit Pony (1997-2000), earning him a Young Artist Award and paving the way for further roles.
His charisma caught the attention of casting directors, leading to recurring roles in popular shows such as Trailer Park Boys (2002) and ReGenesis (2004). However, it was his breakthrough performance in Hard Candy (2005) that truly showcased Page's versatility and earned him the Austin Film Critics Association's Award for Best Actress.
Elliot's star continued to rise when he landed the coveted title role in Jason Reitman's film Juno (2007), receiving numerous awards nominations, including an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, a Critics' Choice Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. He continued to impress audiences with his roles in The Tracey Fragments (2007), Whip It (2009), Super (2010), Inception (2010), and Tallulah (2016).
Further cementing his status as an action hero, Page portrayed Kitty Pryde in two X-Men films (2006, 2014) and lent his voice to animated features Window Horses (2016) and My Life as a Zucchini (2016). In 2017, Elliot joined the cast of Netflix's critically acclaimed series The Umbrella Academy (2019-present), portraying Vanya Hargreeves. He also contributed to the video game Beyond: Two Souls (2013) by providing voice, motion capture, and likeness for the character Jodie Holmes.
In addition to his acting career, Page demonstrated his passion for filmmaking as a producer of Freeheld (2015), where he also starred, and director of the documentary There's Something in the Water (2019).
On December 1, 2020, Elliot bravely came out as transgender on his social media accounts and requested to be referred using the pronouns he/him and they/them. The world celebrated the reveal of his new name - Elliot Page.
