Biography:

Born and bred in Florida, David Michael Koechner ventured to Chicago to study improvisational comedy at the ImprovOlympic, mentored by the legendary Del Close. He later joined Second City Northwest and found himself taking small steps towards big dreams in Hollywood. This led to brief stints on Saturday Night Live and Late Night with Conan O'Brien, performing sketch comedy that paved the way for his cinematic pursuits.

During this time, Koechner crossed paths with Dave 'Gruber' Allen while working on the country mockumentary Dill Scallion, which sparked an endearing friendship between the two. Together, they formed The Naked Trucker & T-Bones Show, a comedic act that became a sensation in Hollywood clubs like Largo. Their popularity led them to open for none other than Tenacious D.

His breakout role as Champ Kind in the smash hit Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy was just the beginning of Koechner's rise in high-profile comedic films, with subsequent appearances in Talladega Nights, Snakes on a Plane, Waiting..., The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard, Extract and Thank You for Smoking. He also made recurring guest appearances on Anchorman co-star Steve Carell's The Office as Todd Packer.

On January 17, 2007, Koechner's Naked Trucker & T-Bones Show premiered on Comedy Central, giving him a starring role and full creative control over the project. His first leading role came in the form of Coach Lambeau Fields in Fox Atomic's sports comedy, The Comebacks, which opened on October 19, 2007.

Throughout his career, Koechner has not only showcased his acting talents but also demonstrated his comedic prowess and musicianship, proving he is an all-around entertainer.
