Daryl Hannah hails from Chicago, Illinois, where she spent her formative years before heading to the University of Southern California (USC). Her acting career took flight in 1978 when she was cast in Brian De Palma's film, "The Fury," marking her film debut.
Hannah went on to captivate audiences with her performances in numerous films, such as Ron Howard's enchanting "Splash" (1984) and Herbert Ross' poignant "Steel Magnolias" (1989). Her versatile talent was acknowledged by the prestigious Berlin International Film Festival, which awarded her their Jury Award for Best Short in 1994.
