Born on January 8th, 1953 in Jiquilpan, Michoacan, Mexico, Jorge Damián Alcázar Castello is a renowned actor who has made a significant mark in the world of cinema. Known for his exceptional talent and versatility, he is considered one of the most recognized contemporary actors of Mexican origin.
Damián's passion for acting led him to study at the National Institute of Fine Arts, followed by the Centro de Experimentación Teatral and finally, the Faculty of Theater at the Universidad Veracruzana. His dedication to the art form didn't stop there; he later returned to his alma mater as a teacher, sharing his knowledge and experience with future generations of actors.
After several years on the stage, Damián made a seamless transition to film with his debut in "The Center of the Labyrinth" (1985). He went on to work in numerous critically acclaimed films such as "Romero" (1989), "The Naked City" (1989), "Bandidos" (1991), and "Mujer del Puerto" (1991). His role in "Lolo" (1993) brought him his first Ariel Award for Best Male Co-Acting, marking the beginning of an impressive string of accolades.
