Born on February 23, 1994, Dakota Fanning is an American actress who first captured hearts at the tender age of seven. Her breakthrough role came as Lucy Dawson in the drama film I Am Sam (2001), a performance that earned her an astonishing Screen Actors Guild Award nomination by the age of eight, making history as the youngest nominee ever.
Dakota continued to shine as a child actress in films such as Uptown Girls (2003), The Cat in the Hat (2003), Man on Fire (2004), War of the Worlds (2005), Dreamer (2005), and Charlotte's Web (2006). She then took on a more mature role as the eponymous character in Coraline (2009), further showcasing her remarkable talent.
