Colm J. Meaney, an Irish actor with an extensive resume, first made a name for himself playing Miles O'Brien in the beloved Star Trek universe. His character appeared in both Star Trek: The Next Generation and its spin-off series, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, earning him a place as the second most frequently seen character in the franchise after Michael Dorn.

However, Meaney's talents haven't been confined to the final frontier; he has also graced the small screen with guest appearances on numerous television shows, from Law & Order, where he could be seen solving crimes, to The Simpsons, where he lent his voice to various characters.
