Biography:

Cody Garrett Runnels Rhodes is a multifaceted American talent, known for his prowess as both a professional wrestler and an actor. Born into the world of wrestling as the son of Dusty Rhodes and the half-brother of Dustin Rhodes, Cody's journey in the ring began early, and he has since carved out an impressive career that spans across various prestigious promotions.

Cody joined WWE in 2006, initially assigned to Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), where he went on to become a Triple Crown Champion. In 2007, he was promoted to the main roster and wrestled under his real name until later adopting the gimmick of Stardust - an enigmatic character inspired by his brother Goldust's persona. During his first tenure with WWE, Rhodes became a two-time Intercontinental Champion and made a significant impact as a tag team wrestler, claiming six world tag team championships alongside four different partners.

In May 2016, Cody requested his release from WWE and began pursuing opportunities on the independent circuit. He wrestled under the name 'Cody' until 2020 when WWE relinquished their trademark rights. In this period, he also made appearances in TNA, ROH, and NJPW, competing at some of the most iconic events such as WrestleMania, Final Battle, and Wrestle Kingdom.

In September 2017, Cody won his first ROH World Championship title during a bout held by Ring of Honor. He later went on to secure other prestigious titles like the IWGP US Heavyweight Championship and the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship (shared with The Young Bucks). In September 2018, Cody made history when he became the first son to win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship after his father Dusty, marking a memorable milestone for the wrestling family. By late summer 2018, Cody held an impressive three titles simultaneously: the NWA World, IWGP U.S., and ROH Six-Man titles.

Cody's influence extended beyond the ring in January 2019 when he was unveiled as an executive vice president of the newly formed All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he also continued to wrestle. He went on to become the inaugural AEW TNT Champion in May 2020, setting a record with three title wins in this division. However, after failing to reach a new contract agreement, Cody relinquished his executive position and departed AEW alongside his wife Brandi Rhodes in February 2022.

Cody's remarkable talent didn't go unnoticed, and he was invited back into the WWE fold at WrestleMania 38 in April, marking a triumphant return to his roots and signaling that this legendary wrestler still has plenty of stories left to tell.
